Yes by Claire Highton-Stevenson

42118617. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Romance

A great continuation of Cam and Michelle's story. Some questions are answered about Cam's back story and you get to meet some other characters. Well developed and well written as always by Highton-Stevenson who has yet to disappoint.

The Tattered Lands by Barbara Ann Wright

GENRE: Science Fiction/Fantasy, Lesbian Romance

As a science fiction book it was enjoyable. The relationships developed through the main characters and the secondary characters was solid. I also saw this as a statement against xenophobia which is something that can lead to the downfall of any society.

Unconventional Lovers by Annette Mori

38198249. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Romance

This is an amazing double love story that includes some very amazing characters. There is not enough books written about characters who are different in any way and this was such a sweet, amazing, eye-opening book. Definitely a must read.

The Liaison (Desert Willow, #1) by Nat Burns

37789365. sy475

GENRE: Science Fiction, Lesbian Romance

The setting of the desert becomes a character itself with the description helping the reader be there. The characters are well developed and real people. The relationship that develops around Lily and Hunter is the type of romance we all want.

Once Burned (Soulmates Candy &Kathy, #1) by Agnes Hagadus

GENRE: Lesbian Romance

You can never go wrong with firefighters or bookstores in my book. The characters were developed enough to move the story along and keep you wanting more.  The issues both women have to work through give just enough conflict to draw the reader in.

Burn It Down by K. Aten

46369869. sx318

GENRE: Lesbian Fiction

This is a book about living with guilt and finding redemption. The characters were fully developed and complex. Plus, who can go wrong with hot, brooding, female firefighter. I love that Aten also used people of color in her books it is very refreshing. There is even a little crossover from Rules of the Road. If you have not read any of K. Aten's books you really need to.

Waking the Dreamer by K. Aten

40531645. sx318

GENRE: Science Fiction, Lesbian Fiction

This book absolutely blew me away! The concepts of Dream Walkers working to fight a corrupt government was something I could only hope for right now. This book was an award winner at the 2019 GCLS and with good reason.

Dreams by Serena J. Bishop

48117658. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Fiction, Romance

I absolutely loved this book and the integration of Native American beliefs. The idea of people being connected is something I really hope exists. Ms. Bishop did an amazing job of painting a scene and developing characters with complex dimensions. There were bumps and turns that just kept you wanting more of the story and cheering for the main characters.

Monsters (Christopher Wren #2) by Mike Grist

46302284. sy475

GENRE: Thriller

I have yet to read something by Mr. Grist that I do not enjoy. He makes you think as he entertains you. With the character of Christopher Wren he has created an anti hero that we need in today's world. The evils that abound in society are enormous and Grist has to problem confronting them.

The A to Z of Girlfriends by Natasha West

43170489. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Romance

This was an enjoyable cute read with some cringe worthy moments. But haven't we all had them. The idea of looking back into your past and exploring how you got to where you are is something most of us do. Wondering if we are worthy, definitively.  This was a well written love story with some self-examination going on. Personally, I look back at my path of psychos and I am thankful everyday for where I am.

Proxima Five by Missouri Vaun

41225091. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Science/Speculative fiction

This is a dystopian science fiction novel. It started a bit slow but That was all set to develop the story further on. I really enjoyed the concepts and there were interesting twists throughout that I did not see coming. Vaun did a great job of painting a setting that you could really experience.

The Sagittarius (The Arrow of Artemis #3) by K. Aten

41565724. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Fiction, Fantasy

This was one of the best endings of a series I have read! A lot of times the author just fizzles in the last book by  Aten kept the best for last. The build up of the characters and the interactions pulled at your emotions throughout the series. I will recommend you read them in order since the main character evolves throughout the whole series. Be prepared to binge.

The Archer (the Arrow of Artemis #2) by K. Aten

39670165. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Fiction, Fantasy, Action/Adventure

I immediately read this after Book 1. I loved how Kyri developed and grew with the Amazons. K. Aten's books are very character driven and this helps you get attached to the characters. I do recommend that you read the books in order. Also, do not throw any books across the room or threaten the author. Just read them all.

The Fletcher (The Arrow of Artemis #1) by K. Aten

37538474. sy475

GENRE: Fantasy, Coming of Age, Lesbian

This was the first book I read by K. Aten and since then I have read almost everything she has written. The characters in The Fletcher were well developed and their personal experiences as well as personalities drove the plot. Needless to say I went on to binge the other two in The Arrow of Artemis series. I have also recommended this book to many of my friends who are fantasy lovers.

Arms Wide Open by Donna Jay

46738571. sy475

GENRE: Lesbian Romance(Erotic)

This book was relatable on some levels and the making of fantasy on others. An oh my what fantasies they are.[fanning oneself]. The issues of being in a loving but long term relationship are explored in this book. The characters are in mid life. The way the communications open show the importance of that in any relationship. Of course one of their solutions was VERY steamy. I love Jay's insight into relationships.  I will also reiterate THERE IS NOT CHEATING IN THIS BOOK!

Rules of the Road by K. Aten

38796345. sx318

GENRE: Lesbian Romance

This is not the first book I have read by K. Aten but it is different from her others but in a good way. i love when an author can show diversity. Rules of the Road is a sweet romance with two very likable main characters. How they meet is a modern day romance in the commuting world. I hope Aten keeps writing in different genres because whatever she does is awesome!

Paris for Two by Dolores Maggiore

46299632

GENRE: Lesbian Romance, Coming of Age, Adventure

This is the third book by Dolores Maggiore about Pina and Katie. In earlier reviews I described them as lesbian Nancy Drew and that still holds true just they are all grown up. The sensory imagery that Maggiore creates is amazing. You can see, hear, smell, and see what is going on. Also the time period gives this story a unique twist on the young love. The characters have grown since book one but within this book they confront change and personally grow. The secondary characters lend to the overall story as well. I could picture it all in my mind. I hope to see a book four since I feel the adventures are not over yet.

Torn by Char Dafoe

41024713

GENRE: Lesbian Fiction (with trigger warning for DV)

For a newer writer Char Dafoe has a talent for creating deep and deeply troubled characters. This book is no exception. It is very raw in the writing and content but that is what makes it, what hits you deeply. It would have earned 5 starts but there are some errors that need to be fixed but that is not uncommon in indie authors. The raw talent and the emotions conveyed in the story overshadow any typographical errors.

Femme Vehemence: Kitten Part 3 by Char Dafoe

46004295

GENRE: Lesbian Fiction, Romance

Rae can not seem to avoid trouble. The tales from Alluring continue. This is the fifth book I have read by this author and probably the most polished. The raw emotions of the characters drives the story. Dafoe makes you laugh, cry, and want to punch someone. I highly recommend this series especially if you like tough, protective women.

Baby Girl: Kitten Part 2 by Char Dafoe

39787921 GENRE: Lesbian Fiction, Romance

This is the second installment of Kitten. Christina and Rae's romance continues to grow. With Ruby on the sidelines. Can the three of them coexist?  The characters are raw and real. The story is well developed and gets you invested in the characters. The emotions you will feel throughout this book are amazing. Just make sure if you use an ebook you don't throw it. You do not want it to end.

Grave Importance by Various Authors

43154725

GENRE: Suspense Anthology

I am not a big fan of anthologies because I like a story to flow. The authors who wrote this anthology did an amazing job of putting all the pieces together. Although each story was written by a different person the theme and setting remained the same, all centered around a particular medical school. The way this was put together gave the read an omniscient perspective into this cut throat world.

Hooked on You by Jenn Matthews

43588354
GENRE: Slow-Burn Lesbian Romance
A well crafted debut novel. The well knitted relationship that forms in this book will leave you as warm as your favorite blanket. Matthews uses hew knowledge of crafts to weave incredibly likeable characters both primary and secondary. It is hard to believe this is a debut novel. Well done!
