GENRE: Contemporary Lesbian Coming Out

This is an amazing coming out and coming of age story. It has all the doubt and angst that is felt. Michelle Arnold does a stellar job making you enpathize with the characters. I will highly recommend this book, especially to those dealing with coming out.  The emotions were real.

Ardulum: The First Don by J.S. Fields

GENRE: SciFi,Space, Lesbian Romance

It was a definate space opera with lots of potential. There just was not a really good flow to it. Perhaps this is because it is a debut novel, nerves and all. The world building was exceptional and the characters were fairly developed. I just would have like the plot to flow better.

The Doll Maker by Claire Highton-Stevenson

GENRE: Suspense, Murder Mystery, Lesbian Romance

The Doll Maker is a traditional suspense mystery with a lesbian twist. The main characters were both complicated and their internal conflict was as much an antagonist as the actually murderer. This is a new direction for Highton-Stevenson and I look forward to reading more in this direction.

Meet You At The End Of The World by Natasha West

GENRE: Dystopian, Lesbian Romance

This is a slow burn romance set after the end of the world.  The way the two main characters meet and how their relationship develops makes this a different spin on the typical dystopian novel. This will appeal to both fans of post apocalyptic and lesbian fiction.

Raven, Fire, and Ice (Touch of Truth #1) by Nita Round

GENRE: Lesbian Fantasy/Steampunk

This fantasy/steampunk novel was a glue read, one you can't put down and sticks with you. The development of the characters relationship was almost a character itself and a strong driving force in the story. The conflict and draw of the three main characters will keep you reading that "one more page".

GENRE: Dystopian Lesbian Fiction

This was a dark but yet hopeful dystopian novel. It showed the evil of men but also how the good, through love, can shine through.

Darkness Remains by K.C. Luck

GENRE: Dystopian, Lesbian Romance, Survival

K.C. Luck uses her amazing talent to continue the story of strong women surviving after the world as they know it crumbles. She does an amazing job destroying a world in a scarily realistic way. Truthfully though it is the characters that make this story. They all bring something to the table and will do anything to protect what they care about.
