Darkness Falls by K.C. Luck

39900623

GENRE: Dystopian, Lesbian Romance

As a major fan of dystopian fiction and lesbian fiction Darkness Falls is the best of both worlds! Each character is unique and developed there is no unnecessary fluff it all flows. The event that causes the world to collapse is plausible, which is important to me in my dystopian fiction. The reactions of the characters is also realistic. From the resourceful ones to those in denial. I highly recommend this book and believe you should have K.C. Luck on your list of up and coming authors to watch out for!

Turning On a Dime(Addy and Karen, #1) by Tey Holden

36510053

GENRE: Contemporary Lesbian Romance

Tey Holden creates characters that you want to cheer for, hug, and tell to open their eyes. The story flows very well and bother characters have to make tough choices. I am looking forward to continuing the story with them in Scotland.

Take a Chance (A Pine Cone Romance #2) by D. Jackson Leigh

GENRE: Contemporary Lesbian Romance

This is a sweet, little romance. It is part two of a three book series written by three different authors so all have their own quirks even if the characters are the same. I really enjoyed reading about Trip and Jaime but I have to say Petunia was my favorite. I finished this book with the warm fuzzies and a smile.

Take My Hand ( Pine Cone Romance #1) by Missouri Vaun

37793482

GENRE: Contemporary Lesbian Romance

Take My Hand is a well developed contemporary romance of the accidental sort. The characters are an interesting blend and the secondary characters in the small southern town lend to the setting. This book provided laughs as well as warm fuzzies and perhaps a bit warmer feelings as well. It is part one of three books that three authors worte together each focusing on one of three best friends and their relationships.

Running the Tides by Amanda Kayhart

GENRE: Contemporary Lesbian Romance

The characters in this book were likable and developed. The settings were amazing. The plot took some twists and turns. The overall flow of the book was very good. The progression of the two main characters relationship and how it connects to their family history was unique. There were a couple of times I wanted to yell at Avery for being stupid. I definately recommend this book. It would be a beach or sitting by the fireplace read.

Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family adn Culturein Crisis by J.D. Vance (Audiobook)

GENRE: Memoir

This was listened to on audiobook on the drive from GA to NJ. It was a well told memoir and I am pretty sure the narrator was the actual author. It is a story about overcoming odds being stacked against you. This book made me think about things that need to be addressed if we ever expect things to get better overall in our country.

Burning Desire by Rachel Maldonado

GENRE: Contemporary Lesbian Romance

You can't go wrong with firefighters. It was a quick, sweet read. I do think it could have been developed a bit more but it was enjoyable. It was a soulmates story without the pages of does she love me, does she not.
